Sweet November

Well, as great as October was, I had a hard time keeping up with the pumpkin theme. Truth be told, my heart runs much deeper than pumpkin and I had a hard time making pumpkin deep, there are somethings that are just meant to be light and fun!

Today, we interrupt our usually scheduled Foodie Friday for some deep thoughts because I've been deprived. But don't worry, I will be posting appetizer ideas next week along with side dishes. I want to make sure you have lots of ideas for holiday meal planning! :)

So today we start Sweet November. Thank Goodness for our beautiful chalkboard (side cabinet) so that we can display all of our gratefulness for the month.
Here's how it works. Each day after school or around dinner time, each person in the family gets to say one thing they are grateful/thankful for that day. We try not to repeat. And we have to do it at the end of the day because it's pretty hard to decide that in the morning. So the posts will be coming the day after.

At the end of the month I'm so excited to see our chalkboard overflowing with things we are grateful for.

So for Day 1 of Sweet November we are grateful for...
Lydie - Halloween (she wants to go out again she loved it so much)
Asher - Our House (we moved from an apartment to buying a house in July, and it has changed our life, we love it!)
Josh - Our Family (Uncle Jeremy came over and watched a movie with us the night before)
Julie - Treats ( I can't tell ya how long it's been since I had Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, yum)

I love the chalkboard idea! One of the things I love about November is that it reminds people how important it is to be grateful!
